Thijs Kolster is a journalist / copywriter and used to be a columnist for Global Connection while he and his family were expats in Rabat, Morocco, where his wife Monique worked at the Dutch Embassy. After five years in Morocco, they returned to the Netherlands and he joined us in early 2021 to guide columnists and write articles.
Thijs has published three books and written several articles and essays, and wrote over 300 ‘stories from Morocco’ in his weekly blog during his stay there. Aside from his writing he is an over-enthusiastic sportsfan, a reader, runner, drummer and still (on a very low level) active soccer player. Monique and Thijs are proud parents of two teenage sons.
